Large oil painting on display inside the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant Visitor Center. The painting, by artist Thomas Hart Benton, depicts the first viewing of Niagara Falls by missionary Father Hennepin.
The mural is 7 feet high and 20 feet wide. It is located at the northern end of the Visitors Center above the stairway to the lower interactive exhibits and the theatre.
The Center's hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, year-round, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, when closed.
Admission is FREE.
