This capsule was placed in celebration of the US Navy's bicentennial birthday by members of the Navy Supply Depot. On 13 October 1975, the longest serving members of Navy Supply Depot buried the time capsule to be opened 100 years later in 2075 to celebrate the US Navy's 300th anniversary. Thirty-five items were buried in the capsule including a TV guide of local channel listings and a memory tape deck from the supply depot's computer.
