L'ASTROLab du Mont-Mégantic, fondé en 1996 par Bernard Malenfant, technicien à l'Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic (OMM), est passé en 2000 sous la direction du Parc national du Mont-Mégantic. Il a été officiellement reconnu par le ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec (MCCQ) comme une institution muséale dans la catégorie « Centre d'interprétation ».
Situé dans le décor exceptionnel du Parc national du Mont-Mégantic, l'ASTROLab est un centre d'activités en astronomie dédié au public. On peut y visiter l'observatoire le plus performant au Canada, des expositions fascinantes et une salle multimédia haute-définition. Le soir venu, levez les yeux vers le ciel de la première réserve internationale de ciel étoilé. Deux observatoires publics, de nombreux télescopes et instruments d'observation permettent de découvrir les splendeurs de l'espace et de l'Univers.
The ASTROLab of Mont-Mégantic, founded in 1996 by Bernard Malenfant, technician at the Mont-Mégantic Observatory (OMM), passed in 2000 under the direction of Mont-Mégantic National Park. It was officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Communications of Quebec (MCCQ) as a museum in the category "Interpretation Centre".
Located in the exceptional setting of Mont-Mégantic National Park, the ASTROLab is an astronomy activity center devoted to the public. One can visit the most powerful observatory in Canada, fascinating exhibits and a high-definition multimedia room. In the evening, look up to the sky of the first International Dark Sky Reserve. Two public observatories, many observation telescopes and instruments used allow the public to discover the wonders of space and the universe.
