At the southern end of Avondale College is a pedestrian suspension bridge over Dora Creek that had been there a while when my parents were in the 1940's tho it seems to have been maintained recently.

Access can be from Victory St, which comes off Freemans Drive close to where the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway goes by. There is a track from the cul-de-sac through a vacant block to Dora Creek, and to the west is the 'swing bridge'.
In my parent's day there was separate walks for the 'boys', and for the 'girls', and only on the weekend when chaperoned could they walk together down to here.
