This old ten wheeler is partnered with a trailer and a La France Fire Engine in front of the Fortine-Stryker-Trego fire hall on the west side of Highway 93 about a half mile south of Fortine.

This is a big ole diesel ten wheeler with a five speed tranny and a winch on the front. This would make some off road vehicle. There are no name plates to be found which would tell us of its maker. The winch, however, was made by Garwood. The last overhaul date on the winch was 1990, indicating the truck was still in service at that time. The truck is open, allowing one to climb in the cab and play with the knobs and switches. Behind the truck is a single axle military trailer with a canvas cover.
