EN: Glöcklihof is a baroque estate in the south of Riehen. The name comes from the bells at the stairs tower.
The original building dated from 1620, it was later rebuilt as a baroque manor. The well-known Caligostro Pavilion dates back to the 1780s. Its present appearance got Glöcklihof around 1821, a short time later the former Baroque garden was converted to an English park.
The Glöcklihof is one of the few stately mansions in Riehen, which is still privately owned and not open to the public.
DE: Der Glöcklihof ist ein barockes Landgut im Süden von Riehen. Der Name stammt von den Glöckchen am Treppenturm.
Der urprüngliche Bau stammt von 1620, er wurde später als barocker Landsitz umgebaut. Der bekannte Caligostro-Pavillon stammt aus den 1780er Jahren. Seine heutige Gestalt erhielt der Glöcklihof 1821, der ehemals barocke Garten wurde kurze Zeit später in einen englischen Park umgewandelt.
Der Glöcklihof ist eine der wenigen herrschaftlichen Landsitze in Riehen, der immer noch in Privatbesitz und nicht öffentlich zugänglich ist.
