A 30' x 3' x 4' deck girder, constructed of treated lumber, is the first bridge now reached along the world famous Appalachian Trail when heading northbound out of Erwin, TN. It crosses the small Jones Branch stream which meanders through the forest thick with rhododendron.

Twenty years later, the Eagle project is still in excellent condition serving many hikers enjoying the area.
