EN: Café Streuli is located at Therwilerstrasse in the village center, close to the moated castle. The three-story house with cross gable was built in 1905 as a residential and commercial building. With its quoins, cornice bands, three-mullioned windows, gable ornaments and the half-timbered parts, the building combines different architectural styles from Gothic over Baroque to Neo-Classic and thus represents a trend of the architecture of the early 20th century, and its search for new styles.
After the premises were vacant for some time, is since 1993 a café and a bakery on the ground floor.
DE: Das Café Streuli befindet sich an der Therwilerstrasse im Dorfkern, unweit des Wasserschlosses. Das dreistöckige Haus mit Kreuzgiebel wurde 1905 als Wohn- und Geschäftshaus erbaut. Mit seinen Eckquadern, Gesimsgurten, Drillingsfenstern, Giebelornamenten und den Fachwerkteilen vereinigt das Gebäude verschiedene Baustile von Gotik über Barock bis zum Klassizismus und verkörpert damit eine Richtung der Architektur des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts und ihre Suche nach neuen Stilformen.
Nachdem die Räumlichkeiten einige Zeit leer standen, befindet sich seit 1993 ein Café und eine Bäckerei im Erdgeschoss.
