Vorderrhein is one of the two source rivers of the Rhine. It is popular for paddling and rafting, especially the lower part after Ilanz.

The company Swiss River Adventures offers rafting trips from Ilanz to Reichenau. This is a 20 km trip that lasts about half a day. Difficulty can range from I to III, depending on the season and water level.
