The clock is working and can be visited all the time. It is attached to all four sides of the tower of the town hall.
The clock has golden Roman literals and a green and white background. The hands are golden as well.
The town hall was built 1840-1850 by plans of Friedrich Bürklein. It is built in a classic design. The 52 meter high square tower, the landmark of Fürth is imitating the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
