Construction of the Grant County Courthouse began in late July 1917. The building was finished in 1918. George H. Keith of Spokane was the architect. J. J. Lohrenz of Spokane was the contractor.

Information I have found says it is Grecian Renaissance in the Adams style. The frieze art is cream color satin finished terracotta.
