The Washington's Shrub-Steppe Heritage Mural is located in downtown Ephrata in the Sun Basin Plaza.
The mural and sign with a key to the wildlife and plants came about from the efforts of the City of Ephrata, Central Basin Audubon, Ephrata Sportsmen's Association and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
The mural is a hand painted reproduction of Amy Fischer's original artwork. The mural was painted by Jason Quinn and Justin Gibbens in 1995-1996.
Seventy-five species of plants and animals are represented in the mural.
