A 96" high by 59" wide framed oil on canvas full length painting of Abraham Lincoln by Albion H. Bicknell was created in 1905 and purchased directly from the artist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and placed in the Executive Suite in 1906. The painting was acquired as the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's birth was approaching.

The artist had been painting portraits of Lincoln since the Civil War. His full-length likeness of Lincoln was probably derived from Matthew Brady photographs. A bearded Lincoln is dressed in a three piece black suit and is wearing a bow tie. He has is left hand behind his back and holds a piece of paper in his right hand. According to the Massachusetts Legislature website it "was considered at the time to be his finest rendition". It was moved to its present location in Doric Hall in 1939.
