Benchmark(triangulation station) on top of Hills Peak, Douglas County, Oregon. Standard bronze disk dated 1953. Set in stone and concrete about 8' from the picnic table platform where the Hills Peak Fire Lookout Cabin once stood. Elevation 6030'.

To reach from intersection of Hwy OR-138 and OR-230, go northeast on paved highway OR-138W for 9.4 miles. Turn right on graveled National Forest Road 60 (Windigo Pass Rd) for 7.0 miles. Make sharp left turn onto NF Rd 700 for 5.5 miles, then slight right turn on NF Rd 770 for 2.7 miles. Turn left onto NF Rd 2154. This section of road is unimproved for 1.0 miles, then becomes improved gravel road again. Continue another 1.25 miles and make sharp right turn onto NF Rd 2153. Travel 0.7 miles to an unnamed road on the right. Follow this road for 0.5 miles to a large dirt parking area. Walk up the trail for 500’ to the picnic table and platform. Disk is located about 8’ off the northeast corner of the platform.
