Built in 1892 the Carbondale Municipal Building is city hall and a courthouse.

It is Romanesque Revival architectural style where no alterations have been made to the building since it was built. The primary part of the building is 3 stories with an attic level. Facing the building is a 5 story tower with a clock and topped with a pyramidal roof. The architect was Truman I Lacey.
