Although murals are normally on a wall...this one is on the plaza in front of the Portuguese Historical Museum in San Jose's History Park.

The plaza in front of the Portuguese Historical Museum in San Jose's History Park has several pieces.... a huge replica of a historic compass rose in Lisbon as well as depctions of a whale, a ship and a coat of arms.
A plaque at the site indicates that it was designed by John G. Figueroa, Jr. in 2004.
