A detailed sculpture by Electra Waggoner Biggs, dedicated in 1950 at the graveside of William Penn Adair Rogers.
He was born on his parents ranch northwest of Claremore, Oklahoma. Rogers went on to become one of America's most beloved humourists and entertainers.
The sculpture shows Will Rogers wearing a rodeo cowboy outfit, seated on his Horse 'Soapsuds' - Will is holding the reigns with his left hand, & holding his hat down to his side with his right arm, and said to Riding into the Sunset.
The bronze life-size sculpture of Will & his horse stands about 10 feet high, Standing on a plinth also about 10 feet tall made from local limestone blocks. The Statue appears to stand level with Wills last resting place, when viewed from the museum.
