The “Community Stone Sculpture” in Reading Park was carved from a 2500-pound featherstone by children and adults from the community in 2002, under the direction of artist B.J. Stevenson. The area is a great place to sit and read. Books can be obtained in the nearby Atherton library if you have any San Mateo County Library card. The redwoods in the back of the park and the nearby gardens make the visit very rewarding.
