This drinking fountain, for both humans and animals, was installed in 1939. It is topped with two bears hugging each other. It is located near the Marlborough Gate entrance to Kensington Gardens close to the Italian Gardens on the park's north side.

The bears, that are about two feet in height, appear to be cast from bronze. This pair were re-cast in 1970 following the theft of the ones placed in 1939.

The plaque at the base of the fountain tells us:
