Finger Lakes State Park was created to demonstrate how a coal strip mine that closed in the late 60's could be reclaimed for recreational purposes. There is a 4.5 mile water trail. There are rental canoes and kayaks available or bring your own to fish from. You can not run gas motors on this lake. There are bass, cat fish crappie and hybrid stripped bass.
"You will find many fishing holes scattered throughout the park in the finger-shaped lakes. Please read the rules below before embarking on your fishing trip.
Fishing is permitted under statewide regulations.
Fishing permits are required except for those over 65 years of age and under 15 years of age.
