"Jeden ze ctyr domu, jejichž spojením palác vznikl, vlastnil v 80. letech 16. století Jan Metych z Cecova, jehož prestavba dala vzniknout renesancnímu jádru dnešního paláce. Po roce 1617 byl prikoupen sousední dum. V roce 1641 prešly všechny domy do vlastnictví Jana Alsterleho z Astrfeldu. V roce 1702 objekt získali Hrzánové z Harasova, kterí palác kolem roku 1749 zcela sjednotili."

One of the four houses, which is in the core of the present palace was owned in the 80s of the 16th century by John Metych of Cecov. In 1641 all the houses passed into the ownership of John Alsterl of Astrfeld. In 1702 the building passed into the ownership of Hrzán of Harasov who completely united the palace around 1749.
