This sculpture is located at an intersection of the two main pathways of the International Rose Test Garden. A person is able to walk under the sculpture and continue along the path. There are also two columns next to the main section of the sculpture that have water flowing from the top of them into the reflecting pond.
The sculpture was created by Portland Artist, Lee Kelly and was a gift from the family of Frank L. Beach. Beach is the man said to have christened Portland as "The City of the Roses."
The Rose garden was created in 1917 and is the longest continuously operated public rose test garden in the U.S. It contains 10,000 plantings of 550 varieties.
While at the garden I had some trouble getting good coordinates so if you have a better coordinate please let me know.
