DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 (RLE) THE STATION IS LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE SQUARE IN VALLEY VIEW. THE TANK HAS A DOMED ROOF WITH A BALL AT THE TOP AND CENTER, IS SUPPORTED BY A FOUR LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE AND HAS AN OVER-ALL HEIGHT OF 130 FEET. THE POINT OBSERVED UPON WAS THE TOP AND CENTER OF THE ROOF.
