KINGS BATTERY - 3318-13 - Southern African Trig Beacons on Waymarking.com

Upgraded base for this beacon between two cannons on Mowbray Ridge below the King's Blockhouse. With great views stretching from Lion's Head around to the Muizenberg Mountains taking in Cape Town and the Cape Flats.

Altitude (m): 435 Beacon Type: Peak Beacon Construction: standard beacon on reconstructed concrete plat 3m high with all the vanes present - it seems the whole beacon was upgraded and painted.

We don't require you to provide any specific proof of your visit, but we do request that you upload photos if possible, the more the merrier.

Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
