Empire-style Hotel "Prince de Ligne", built in 1824 as a luxury spa hotel, is the oldest and the most luxury hotel in spa town Teplice.
"Prince de Ligne" was named after Charles Joseph Lamoral, 7th Prince de Ligne (1735– 1814), father-in-law of former owner of Teplice demesne, Prince Johann Nepomuk Prince Clary-Aldringen. Spacious spa hotel was built by Anton Richter at the site of two older buildings in 1824. Hotel accomodated many famous guests, it was for example place where met emperors of Russia, Austria and Prussia in 1835. After 150 years of service it was in bad shape, so it was completely reconstructed in the end of the 20th century and currently belongs among the best hotels in Teplice.
