U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Benchmark CS1738 - Fort Worth, TX - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This one isn't difficult to find, especially for those who are accustomed to parking in the lot between the post office and the old train station, as the benchmark is visible after climbing the steps to the entrance you're about to take.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1957 IN FORT WORTH. THIS MARK IS AT THE U.S. POST OFFICE WHICH IS BETWEEN THROCKMORTEN AND JENNINGS AT LANCASTER. THE MARK IS AT THE TOP OF THE STEPS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE EAST ENTRANCE TO THE POST OFFICE AND IS ABOUT 50 FEET NORTH AND ABOVE BENCH MARK L 246. IT IS 1 FOOT EAST OF THE EAST WALL.
