The Worlds 2nd Largest Cross is located near Groom, Texas. (Where everything is big)
Arranged in a circle around the base of the giant Christian Cross, are bronze larger than life sculptures of Jesus of Nazareth & the stations of the Cross.
Outside that inner circle, there is another circle of sculptures that features other landmark Christian scenes, and characters. Saint Michael the Archangel, Angels, The Crucifixion, The Empty Tomb, Last Supper, and of Course Jesus Christ.
The Sculpture of Jesus of Nazareth, with the Roman Soldier, wearing feather headdress is located at the base of one of the largest crosses you will ever see. The Sculpture is titled 'Tenth Station - Jesus is stripped of his clothes' sculpted by Martin Wells a local artist from Amarillo. The Cross & Sculptures have been placed by the 'Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ Ministries'.
