The Todtnau Waterfalls are located north of Todtnau between the main town and the incorporated village Todtnauberg. They can be accessed by a short hike from either town, or a roadside parking in the west, latter has been made wheelchair accessible.
With a total height of 97 meters, the falls belong to Germany's largest waterfalls. The highest single step of the cascade has 60 meters. They were voted into Germany's top ten natural wonders and are a major tourist attraction with over half a million visitors per year. In strong winters they can be completely frozen over.
