This statue of Theodore Roosevelt honors his legacy as a conservationist. Fittingly, he is portrayed in outdoor gear. His right foot is propped up on a rock and his right had holds a canteen resting on his right thigh. He peers through his spectacles as if trying to see the future of the country.
A separate plaque notes his dates of birth and death and honors his accomplishments as a conservationist during his term as the 26th president of the United States.
An additional plaque notes that the artist was Dan Snarr and lists those who donated the statue in 2008.
This statue is part of a group of three including Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln whose values are deemed important to the creators of Fountain Hills.
