This statue of Lincoln presents him sitting on a park bench with his coat and hat off, reviewing his notes for the Gettysburg address. Some of his notes are in his hand, others remain tucked in his hat. The statue is of cast bronze. The bench he is seated upon appears to be a modern park bench as if he just happened upon a pleasant spot to review his upcoming speech.
There is an attendant plaque which gives the dates of Lincoln's birth and death and includes several quotes.
A separate marker indicates that the statue is the work of Mark Lundeen. It lists those responsible for donating the statue in 2012.
This statue is a part of a group of three presidents including Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan whose spirit and philosophy are deemed important to those who created Fountain Hills.
