On the corner of East Fourth and Chestnut Streets, it's difficult to say how old this VFW is.

In a predominantly old neighbourhood, the VFW building could be relatively new, or, and this is more likely, it could be a century old building that has been renovated and covered in vinyl siding. Across the intersection from the post is a 100-plus year old brick building and most of the houses in the surrounding blocks are nearly as old.
Anaconda, a working man's town born as the location of what was once the world's largest copper smelter (which is no more), has always had more than its fair share of fraternal organizations, so this VFW would fit right in.
