The Museum is free and is in the parking lot of the library. There are a few items for sale such as note cards and Vestal History books. It sponsors changing exhibits and lectures.

The building is the Vestal Train Station (Delaware, Lackawanna and Western line) built in 1881, moved to the current site in 1972.

The permanent collection includes a 1890 stove, a 1900 washing machine, and a collection of native American tools.
