The Delaware Capitol Police are part of the Delaware State Department of Safety and Homeland Security. The Edward Tatnall Building serves as headquarters. The force maintains officers in Delaware's three counties. In total, the Capitol Police has a chief, two captains, two lieutenants, eight sergeants, twenty-nine sworn officers, twenty-four security officers, a dispatcher, and an administrative specialist. There are also two explosive detection canine teams and a detective. The organization's history dates to 1965 when the division was established to prevent vandalism of the Legislative Hall in Dover.
The default photo shows the Capitol Police sign in front of the east side of the Tatnall Building. The waymark coordinates are from the main/north entrance to the building.
