This is a bright and colorful mural showing scenes from the production of "Not The Way I Heard It" in 1999.

Really like this mural and its humorous quality, makes me wish I could have been there. What fun.

There is an inscription:

In May 1999 the Enderby & District Community Play Project brought together theatre professionals with community residents, the young with the old, the native with the non-native, to produce a play of high artistic standards for and about the community.

Not The Way I Heard It, written by Cathy Stubington, James Fagan Tait, and Rosalind Williams, told stories about the community and its residents based on the oral traditions of Enderby's two distinct cultures.

Over 150 actors were supported by six theatre directors and more than 400 volunteers. Large puppets, masks, hand puppets, colourful costumes and hats, giant salmon, original music, horses and wagons, a marching band, a train, a mermaid, stilt walkers and even a chevy pickup truck filled with a teenage rock band paraded through the 21 scenes of this outdoor performance.
