The Tavern mural is one of the few murals that we have seen that is black and white. The artist is unknown, however it is well done and seems almost whimsical. The young lady is watching from her window as the travelers arrive in town.

There is an Army camp in the first section that was most likely based in Vernon.

The Armstrong Hotel was built in the early 1890's for Hughy Keyes. The hotel was the second building constructed in Armstrong.
