To find the Newport Cemetery: From Hwy. 2, south of Newport, turn west on 7th Street/Stadium Drive. Continue 300 meters to Old Schoolhouse Lane. The cemetery is at this junction. The dated pillar is at the entrance.

The Newport Cemetery is a large community cemetery located in Pend Oreille County. There are approximately 6,066 gravesites. The Newport Cemetery was established in 1902.

There is a large section for all veterans who honorably served their country. A memorial is also at this location.

Gladys Fay McIntosh: Born in1902 and she died in 1920. She is noteworthy as we actually photographed her gravestone.
