Approached from Tiptree from the south-west along Newbridge Road, it's about 2.5km to this crossroads on the way to Smythe's Green further north, the road from here is Clears Road. That to the north-west is Haynes Green Road, towards Haynes Green and the Cottages, whilst the fourth road is Stockhouse Road towards Parkgate Farm and Layer Marney. At the crossroads are a couple of cottages and Parkhouse Farm.
The main road through also carries National Cycle Route 1 which connects Dover and the Shetland Islands mainly via the east coast of England and Scotland, also known as the North Sea Cycle Route.
The National Grid reference is TL 91721 17438 and it is 46m above the Newlyn Datum.
