This marker is at the start of a route traversing northern Spain from Cap Creus on the east coast to Cap de Fisterra on the west coast.

The eastern end of this route is in Catalonia and much of it had fallen into disuse and disrepair. The 2005-2010 Strategic Plan for Tourism in Catalonia set a goal of reviving the tradition of pilgrimage in Catalonia and integrating Catalonia into the Way of St. James.

By 2010 a 400km route had been established and signposted and Catalonia was admitted to the Jacobean Council. This document contains details of the the route in Catalonia and advice for how to do the walk.

The marker is on the promenade opposite the marina.
