The Mahoning Valley Trail is built and maintained by Starkparks of Stark County, Ohio. The trail is 4.46 miles long. The Gaskill Dr. Trailhead has a parking lot with a portable toilet. The first 1.8 miles follows the Mahoning River and the surface is crushed limestone. It goes west to Rockhill Ave. and follows it north to Greenbower Road and follows it west to the trail again witch runs north across the spillway on a 260 feet long bridge and ends at the parking lot at Deer Creek Reservoir. It is used by hikers and mountain bikers.
