Went out in the evening to get some pix around the town and discovered the fire department outside washing and servicing the fleet. This, Engine 2, is the last of the damp trucks at the firehall. It is another Freightliner FL80, a 2003, this one with a
Hub conversion. It has a driver's side control panel, as opposed to the transverse panel of the other FL80 and carries 840 gallons of water, which is propelled from the tank by a 1,050 gallon per minute pump.
These conversions are built by HUB in Abbotsford, (in partnership with Freightliner and American LaFrance) who build these as well as utility and rescue vehicles for fire departments across Canada and into the US.
