Located behind the Siskiyou County Museum building are two painted murals, one of which describe the Yreka Creek Greenway Project. This project was a culmination of efforts by third parties to enhance and protect wildlife habitat and water quality of Yreka Creek. The mural focusing on the flora and fauna mentions native species to the area and contains a couple of placards describing them in more detail. I particularly found the painted salmon eye-catching and a nice quality overall. There is also a 'You Are Here' map that makes up this mural.
