The Belmont Public Library was originally built on this site in 1960 and was expanded in 1982. That building was demolished to build the new library, which opened on April 29, 2006. The new building includes massive windows facing preserved old oak trees (shown in one of the pictures) and an improved Belameda Park. The new library has a large children's area, lots of computers, a cafe, and plenty of comfortable places for reading.
Hours are M-W 10-9, Th-F 10-6, Sat 10-5, Sun 1-5. Address is 1110 Alameda de las Pulgas.
This library is part of the San Mateo County Library system.
