Built in the 1960s/1970s this has always been a seed cleaning plant, as opposed to being a converted grain elevator. The name "Mountain View Seed Plant" comes from the fact that it is in Mountain View County. It is a wood frame structure, now clad in steel siding and is as active today as it was when first built. Over the years it has been renovated and expanded to the point that it appears to be about twice as big as it was four decades or so ago.
