1984 wurde dieser Park nach Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. benannt. Dieser gewann 1964 den Friedensnobelpreis, also geschah das möglicherweise zum 20jährigen Jubiläum der Verleihung.

Der Park ist ziemlich klein und liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Straße, aber er enthält einen Spielplatz, einen Tischtennistisch, eine Hundezone, einige Bänke usw.

Auf dem Schild beim Eingang steht:

MARTIN LUTHER KING PARK

Benannt nach dem amerik. Friedensnobelpreisträger Dr. Martin Luther King (1929 to 1968), Kämpfer gegen die Rassentrennung

In 1984 this park is Vienna was named after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He won the nobel peace prize in 1964, so maybe it was to celebrate the 20th anniversary of winning the prize.

The park is quite small and next to a very busy street, but it includes a playground, a table tennis table, a dog zone, some benches etc.

The sign at the entrance says:

Named after the american nobel peace prize winner Dr. Martin Luther King (1929 to 1968), fighter against racial segregation
