Lots of fond memories I have of the former Shasta Drive-In Theatre as a child, teenager and young adult. Currently a manufactured home park, the only remnant left of this former drive-in is the marquee located just off Summers Lane on Winter Ave. There are a few websites mentioning this former drive-in,
cinematreasures.org gives a quick bio on it saying:
The Shasta Drive-In was built in the late-1940’s. It was built as a single screen with two screens added later. In 1989 it was sold to Coming Attractions Theatres. It was closed and demolished in the early-1990’s. It is currently a manufactured home park. The marquee is still in use.
Another website, drive-ins.com, contains some great pictures of the former theater, including an advertisement promoting its grand opening.
