On this location, the first public stone cross in Vukovar was built in 1805. There was a school nearby so local student often gathered near the cross and have fun, so the cross got its name - the Reveler Cross. The whole square got name by that cross - Square of Reveler Cross.
The previous cross on this location was destroyed during the war in 1991. Today's cross was built after the war and it also has the same name as the old one - the Reveler Cross.
