This insect hotel is installed in small municipal park called "Wasserpark Walserbündt" in the middle of village Schaan, Liechtenstein. It is almost 2 metres high panel under roof, consisting of hundreds artificial nests for wild bees, specifically Aculeata (ger: Stechimmen). There is an information board on the insect hotel with following text (originally in german):
In Liechtenstein live a total of 230 species of bees and in addition to the two known (stinging joyful) wasp species and the known but also good-natured and very useful hornets further 175 wasps (cousins of bees). These gentle courageous bees and wasps are not dangerous for humans and also excellent pollinators of fruit trees, berries, a variety of trees and flowers, bleeding etc.

They also regulate the stocks of other insects. In addition, they are also re-staple food for a large number of birds. Since their habitats are conditionally restricted by buildings and other human utilities more and more, it makes sense to protect remaining land, e.g. meadows, rural and extensively managed areas, ... Combined as with a natural garden, these nest boxes in urban areas are interesting exhibitions of behavior, biology and ecology of Aculeata.
