"Karl Becker's bike shop at Arsenal & Morganford reminds me of a shop you might see out in the country. It's small, privately owned and generally more useful/helpful than the larger bike shops in St. Louis. (To remain nameless.)
"Someone else referred to Karl as being "crabby". HE GETS SWAMPED WITH WORK IN THE SUMMER! Wouldn't you be a little on edge too?
"Karl has helped me refurbish many old bikes that I buy & resell on craigslist. His prices on many items are much lower than that of...nameless. (I'm sure you can figure it out.)
"To see the pride & joy I (We) refurbished, go to oldtenspeedgallery.com and search 1973 Schwinn Varsity. You'll find a "Campus Green" colored one that was mine. This bike needed almost everything. Maybe I should've kept it...but I sold it on cragslist for a hefty price.
