For a small fee for rental of the plot, one can plant a garden with the crops of your choice. Water is provided and the initial tillage of the land in Spring. Once one has their plot, they are responsible for the planting, maintenance, and of course the harvest. Plot owners are encouraged to give a portion of the bounty to the local food bank to assist those less fortunate folks in the community. One local beekeeper provides a hive to help with the pollination duties. His reward is knowing his is helping the gardeners and then getting some really delicious honey in the process.
