La Posada was built in 1930 as a luxury passenger rail hotel in partnership with Fred Harvey (of Harvey House fame) trackside in Winslow AZ. Today the passenger rail era is pretty much endedm but the Amtrak train still stops daily at la Posada, Elegant gardens, attentive service, and a busy BNSF transcontinental rail line, and rail yard give Railfans plenty to look at while sitting and relaxing in comfy chairs in gorgeous gardens, sipping cold drinks. Railfans will never have it so plush as they do at la Posada.
